what is it?
Strategy team is unique. It works very long hours the first few days of build season, and then does practically nothing until competition season. In that brief time, they decide - based on knowledge of past FRC games and a good strategic sense - how to play the game. The Cyborg Cats, like every FRC team, are given a 100 page rulebook and a 90 second video. The strategy team gets to interpret those, and based off of what we “can’t do,” they decide what we can and should do in order to maximize our robot’s score in each match.

Our busiest times
Competition season is the busiest and most stressful time for those on strategy. They plan every match in order to best partner with our alliance of 3 robots in order to win against the opposing 3 robot alliance. They also determine who to draft in order to have the best alliance for the playoffs.
other expectations
In their near-two month layover, strategy team members are expected to help out other subteams and ensure the robot is moving in the direction deemed necessary in order to maximize the score of the games they play.
